Oh joy! I got to deal with our friends at Royal Mail again. They started picking up this habbit of not getting a signature when they deliver Signed For packages at my house... I've been noticing on and off for the last year that quite frequently I would get a package dropped outside my door. Kinda like a hit and run - the postman would drop the package outside the door, ring the doorbell and then leg it! So I would open the door see no-one except this package lying on the floor. The poor person that sent it paid for Signed For delivery, but obviously got a drop-and-run service instead. The other annoying thing they do is chuck the package through the bathroom window! From time to time I'd find odd packages in our bathroom - it seems that dropping the package outside and running off can sometimes be too much effort, or maybe too boring job. So, a few weeks ago I had enough and I sent off a complaint to Royal Mail. Took them forever to respond (about 3 weeks) and said: "I fully appreciate how important it is that we obtain a signature upon That was from Marion Williams in Customer Services. This was actually not the first time I had to complain about this. I sent a recorded letter in 2004 to an address around the corner - they never got a signature and all they said was "sorry, here are some stamps". Think next time I'll CC watchdog in my complaint...
